When an established Hollywood superstar is seen with a beautiful model, we are envious. When our co-worker starts going out with an older man, we just think its weird. What’s his game? What does she see in him? A lot of questions like that are making the rounds these days, because it’s happening all the time. There are more younger women dating older men than ever before.
Look at the angle the media takes when they write about a popular personality dating an older man. Then look at the angle it takes if she has fallen out of favor with the media. In both cases, they are writing from stereotypes, never from solid information. The media doesn’t help us learn the truth at all.
For a change, why not ask the women why they have chosen to date an older man. You might be surprised to discover that the answer doesn’t usually fit the stereotype. One common reason cited by women is that older men are more mature than younger men. They enjoy being with a man who is mature and experienced enough to relate to beyond the turmoil of hormonal rushes.
In spite of the well-entrenched myth that youth is sexier than age, many women find a man’s signs of aging to be intriguing and to have a certain sex appeal. It’s easier for us to accept this in the case of starlets dating superstars like Mel Gibson or George Clooney, but it’s not uncommon amongst “normal” men and women, either.
Surprisingly enough, a man’s wealth is rarely the reason younger women are attracted to them. While success is often a sign of a man’s inner resources, often a common passion for a shared interest is the springboard for a relationship. It’s the wealth of experience and passion for life that makes an older man attractive, rather than his bank balance.
Women dating older men is a topic that’s going to be around for a long time. It’s happened throughout history and it is accelerating in our culture as the cultural taboos are slackened. It may be time for younger men to take some notes from older men before they get left behind!

When you do make up your profile and fill in some of your details, remember that instead of making sure that the person gets to know you from the beginning, instead of this, rather have fun and make sure that you are safe.
