Differences Between Women And Men

Have you noticed the many differences between men and women? That is to say, there are less obvious differences. They do not examine things in the same manner. There can be valid reasons for this. Their brains may work differently. Here are some things to consider about male and female thinking.

Men and women can be exposed to the same things. They may have totally different feelings about them. A male may be excited when he sees a new Husqvarna chainsaw. A female may be more concerned about the possibility of injury, to appreciate it.

Women may be taken with new round dining room sets. They may picture the possibility of beautifying their house. A man may look at the set and see a place to eat. This does not mean that one person is right and the other is wrong. They just see them from a different point of view.

The differences between male and female may be primordial. People of the past faced many more challenges. Males and females needed to play separate roles.

The male was the hunter. He was bigger and stronger than the female. He was better equipped for hunting and protection from danger.

Females were considerably smaller than the males. They took on a great deal of responsibility. They looked after the future of mankind. Children were a large part of their job. Man’s job was more specialized.

Because of these different roles, people developed and evolved. Male hunting and protecting skills became sharper and more sophisticated. The female roles of caregiver also greatly improved.

This can explain why men and women of today think differently. Men do not usually get overly concerned about style and color. They have favorite colors. However, if they want a certain thing, color is not the most important feature.

Women are more interested in color and design. For thousands of years, they have to be aware of everything around them. They do not have the luxury of tunnel vision that males have. They may have to pick berries and watch over children at the same time. If you get the wrong color fruit or plant, it could be a fatal error.

Many of the differences between the sexes may go back many years. Little can be done about that. However, recognizing these differences can help men and women understand each other. A couple may shop for a new bed. He is not concerned about the color. She may be very interested in color. If he knows her thought patterns, he would pay better attention. It may be the difference between buying a full size loft bed, and a colorful king size bed.

She will naturally reveal the things she’s interested in, and this is greatly useful information to have. If she’s talking about a crystal necklace, pay attention. And be sure you do find out, because not all gifts are created equally. If you give one woman tickets to a Red Sox game, she might be yours forever. Give the same to another woman, and she may look at you confused, saying she ‘doesn’t even like football’. Don’t blow your shot on a tote bag, when a book was the right choice.

This is a major problem actually. Too many men are content on just giving the basic gifts. Whether it’s boxes of chocolates, a jewelry set, or flowers, the day for such gifts is long over. While they do show a bit of thoughtfulness, they don’t show that you’ve really paid attention to this woman and learned what she truly likes and values.

Timing is important too. If you have the ultimate gift, but give it too early, you’ve blown it. If you give a $500 edition of Hemingway to a woman on a second date, it’s just like giving her a ring; too soon! Likewise, however, you don’t want to wait too long or the woman will think you’re uninterested, and she’ll soon grow to feel that way herself.

What you want to keep in mind here is that all women are different. The only way you can succeed is to give it your all and to really get to know them as an individual human being. Just remember; with any woman, the worst sin of all is holding yourself back.
